Bulgarian for foreigners
Why Bulgarian?
“People learn Bulgarian because of love”
This is what the writer Alexandra Whitaker says about the Bulgarian language. Being mesmerized by the fact that in the majority of course books for learning Bulgarian as a foreigner, lesson one includes phrases like “I like you”, “I love you” and “I miss you” instead of the standard “Hello, how are you?”, she decided to find out more about this interesting difference. It turns out that a lot of foreigners take the plunge and get to know the Bulgarian language because they want to know their beloved half more. What a beautiful reason for learning a language, isn’t it?
